A 6 Night Tour
A beautiful coastal drive from Goa brings one to the most interesting and
least visited historical sites of South India. The Vijaynagar city ruins -
once the capital of one of the largest Hindu empires of Indian history .
There is a unique mystique and romanticism waiting to be discovered……..
Day 1 : Goa - Belguam- Badami. Drive to Belgaum (130 kms approx. 3
and a half hours). Belguam - Badami (150 kms approx 3 and a half hours), a
short halt at Belgaum to view and rest. On arrival check into the Hotel
(basic hotel). Late afternoon at leisure .
Day 2 : Explore the nearby temples and rock caves of the Chalukyan
Dynasty. Overnight at Badami.
Day 3: Badami - Hospet Drive to Hospet (185 kms almost 4 hours) On
arrival check into the Malligi Hotel or similar.
Day 4 : Hospet - Hampi - Hospet Full day excursion - the ruins of
Vijayangar village is one of the most
fascinating
historical sites in South India. Hampi is full of surprises!
Day 5 : Hospet- Hassan, (153 kms 3 hrs drive) Check into hotel.
Later visit the famed Hoysala kingdom's temples of Belur/Halebid
Day 6 : Hassan- Mysore (115 kms) Stay at the famed Lalitha Mahal
Palace, relax and enjoy the ambiance of royalty. Perhaps visit the museum
displaying the Wodeyar Dynasty's memorablia.
Day 7 : After early breakfast visit Tipu Sultan's Fort on way to
Bangalore (Capital of Karnataka). You have the option of staying on at
Bangalore or take the flight to next destination …perhaps Kerala or
Delhi .
